StreetSense Women's Self Defense Courses

StreetSense is a Calgary based Personal Safety & Self Defence Company. We specialize in Women’s Personal Safety & Self Defence Courses and Street Proofing Courses for teens. We also offer Security Consulting/Executive Protection Services and Security Training for Doormen and security professionals in the entertainment industry.  StreetSense has developed the unique Adrenal-Stress Induced Saturation Training (ASIST) model. This model teaches our student’s how to overcome the debilitating “Adrenaline Response” that occurs when our bodies are placed in “Fight or Flight” situations. Overcoming the “Freeze Response” and “Loss of Fine Motor Skills” are both addressed through ASIST training.  Our Personal Safety & Self Defence Courses utilize Padded Attacker Training and Realistic Attack Scenarios to allow our student’s to train “Full Force” against a determined attacker. Our Self Defence Concepts are simple to learn, effective, and proven in combat situations.  Our instructors are Peace Officers with over 50 years combined experience in the combat arts. They have provided training and consultancy services for some of Calgary’s largest institutions, organizations, and events. At StreetSense we know what it takes to keep you and your family safe. That’s why when you take a Personal Safety & Self Defence or Street Proofing course you will also receive professional instruction in completing a Personal Security Audit and Personal Security Plan. Each participant receives a CD-ROM complete with all of the Personal Security & Self Defence information discussed during the course.
